After allegedly eating tainted water on Monday, more than 200 residents of Supertech Eco Village 2 in Greater Noida West became unwell. Most of the individuals who suffered from it were kids, and they showed symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea. The complex’s badly maintained water tanks are the source of the outbreak, according to locals.
Following his departure from coaching, my son complained of being ill. Twice in the institute did he throw up. “After a while, my eight-year-old younger son started complaining about health issues,” said one of the society’s residents. The society is expected to have more than fifty towers. I got back from the office at 9 p.m. and started feeling sick at 11 p.m. “Water contamination is the reason behind all of this,” he added.
The health concern mostly surfaced in four towers, C-4, C-5, C-6, and C-7, which are composed of 20-story buildings housing more than 160 apartments. Residents believe that the contamination was caused by improper execution of last week’s three-day water tank cleaning.
Another resident reported that since Sunday night, kids have been sick, exhibiting signs of diarrhea and vomiting. According to him, they also complained of stomachaches. “At first, we thought that the kids’ consumption of anything from outside had caused this. However, the number of incidents continued to rise as we interacted with additional members of the community. He said that following the cleaning of a society water tank two days earlier, complaints began to come in. As of right now, authorities are looking into what happened.
For youngsters, the situation has been especially bad. The paper was informed by resident that his three-year-old son was sick on Monday morning with vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. He is currently being treated at Surbhi Hospital in Noida. The society’s maintenance crew examined the water tanks in response to the complaints, took samples for analysis, and pledged to fix any issues that were discovered. They also promised that there would be consequences for anyone found guilty.
